Information here is supplied by DevineWare.com and shows where Shafer wines have been placed in the past few months by our distributors. Always call before visiting a restaurant or retail shop to confirm availability, since the wine may already have been purchased by other customers. Regrettably, information is not available in all areas of the U.S.

LOCATING OUR WINES THROUGH OUR DISTRIBUTORS
Shafer Vineyards wines are available on a limited basis in fine restaurants and wine shops throughout North America, Europe, and Asia. Once our wines enter the various distribution channels across the U.S. and internationally, Shafer has very limited ability to track where they are available for retail purchase. In an attempt to provide as much access as possible, we offer this listing of contact information for our distributors. In most cases, they can provide information on where you may locate Shafer wines in your area. Regrettably, because our wines are produced in such limited quantities, they may not always be easy to find.

Shafer offers one mail list currently open for sign-ups -- the Napa Valley List. The Wait List for Hillside Select is currently closed.

Please note we have changed the way we manage the Wait List for Hillside Select. In the past the Wait List was open indefinitely, which resulted in wait times of up to five years. In 2007 we closed the Wait List until it reached a more manageable number in early 2010.

We are trying a new approach. The Wait List will be open until it reaches a number that we've determined will offer a far shorter waiting period. We will then close the Wait List until enough people have been able to move to the actual Hillside Select List.

Our hope is that customers will wait no more than a year or two before moving to the actual list itself. However, this will mean that we have to open and close the Wait List as needed.

We recognize that neither the old way of doing things or this new approach is perfect. However our goal, again, is to reduce the wait time.

Shafer wines are available for purchase at the winery week days from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. If you plan to visit Shafer Vineyards, please call ahead to find out which of our wines are available for purchase when you arrange a tour and tasting.
